What does it mean to be a man today and how does that fit with the Word of God? There are conflicting messages of how a man should look and act. What is my role as a husband, a father, a friend, or a colleague? How do you turn the other cheek while being the provider for your family? How do you love your wife as Christ loved the church while guiding your spouse? It seems like a daunting task to live up to the demands of manhood and further more to take up the gauntlet of being a man of God. Once a month, the men of FBC gather together to explore God’s Word for clarifying answers about how to live a life that mimics the path that Jesus trod while here on earth. Not only is it a time to benefit from God’s Word, it’s also a time to build community with other men. Life isn’t always serious, so neither are we. We take time to play and enjoy the company of one another as we eat a meal, play some games, and overall get to know each other better.
